Talent hunt
Mumbai Indians failed to book a semi-final ticket, but they had a lot of positives from their 14 matches. The side produced a good fiery all-rounder in the form of Abhishek Nayar. His 206 runs in the DLF Indian Premier League (IPL) came at a healthy strike rate of 149. He took matches close for his team but ran out of luck at crucial times. Dhawal Kulkarni and Rohan Raje were also the finds of the IPL for Mumbai Indians. Kulkarni was the third highest wicket-taker for his franchise with 11 wickets while Raje capitalised on the opportunites he got.

Biggest disappointment
Sachin Tendulkar's return to the side boosted Mumbai's chances to enter the knock-out stage, but his captaincy seemed out of sorts. It was under his mantle Mumbai Indians failed to win three narrow games which went down to the last over. And for the same reason, Mumbai failed to make it into the final four.

Bugbear
The unfortunate spat between Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth witnessed the former being banned from the IPL. Mumbai Indians would have needed his services if they wanted to book a semi-final place. In the initial phase of the tournament, the Mumbai franchise failed to get the right combination in the top order. Experiments got big on them and the middle order suffered.

Standout performance
Sri Lankan stalwart Sanath Jayasuriya was one of the top-notch performers for the Mumbai side in the IPL. The 'Matara Mauler' played an outstanding knock against the Chennai Super Kings to score his maiden century in the Twenty20 tournament. The belligerent southpaw battered the Super Kings' bowling for 114 runs off 48 balls, an innings which saw 9 boundaries and 11 massive hits over the ropes.

Trivia
1. Sanath Jayasuriya hit 31 boundaries during the League stage, the highest by any batsman.

2. The Mumbai Indians team was the only side in the IPL to be led by three men. Harbhajan Singh, Shaun Pollock and Sachin Tendulkar are the individuals who did the honours.

Talent hunt
The Kolkata Knight Riders were one of the most hyped franchises in the DLF Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite some big signings in the team, there were some youngsters in the side who made a name for themselves. The likes of Ashok Dinda, Laxmi Ratan Shukla and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha were the standout performers for their franchise in the tournament.

Shukla was impressive with his all-round skills as he finished in the top 5 list for the highest run-scorer and wicket-taker for the Knight Riders. Dinda was second on the list as the most successful for the Kolkata team with 9 wickets whereas Saha caught everyone's eye with his liverwire skills behind the stumps.

Biggest disappointments
Ricky Ponting's drought of runs in the four matches for the Knight Riders was a big disappointment. An in-form Brendon McCullum's return to New Zealand for national duty after four games was also a big let-down for the Kolkata team.

The signings of international players like Mohamad Hafeez and Brad Hodge also didn't bear rich fruit as both of them performed miserably in the opportunities that they got. Ajit Agarkar also lacked firepower with his medium-pace bowling.

Bugbear
After the departure of McCullum and Ponting for national commitments, the Knight Riders failed to get the right batting combination in the top order. They kept on shuffling their batting order in every game which didn't pay any dividends as they failed to post any big total on the board.

Shoaib Akhtar's entry into the team sparked some hopes for the Kolkata franchise for a berth in the semifinal, but the speedster too was derailed with an injury in the final phase of the IPL.

Standout performance
The Kolkata Knight Riders began the IPL tournament with a bang. Kiwi Brendon McCullum triggered a massive score for his franchise in the IPL opener with a sparkling 158 runs, his maiden century in a Twenty20 match. The right-hander tore apart the Bangalore Royal Challengers by smashing the then fastest ton in the championship. His innings witnessed 10 boundaries and a record 13 sixes.

Trivia
1. Brendon McCullum scored the first-ever 150 plus score in any recognized T20 format against the Bangalore franchise in the tournament opener.

2. Kolkata Knight Riders were the second best bowling unit conceding 8.05 runs per over at the end of the league stage.

3. The Knight Riders ended the IPL as the best batting team in the slog overs, scoring on an average 54 runs in the final five overs.

Is this the Best Line Up of India

As now the match between India and Pakistan is on,

While going through the scorecard I have found a new line up for team India

A successful opening pair of Delhi Daredevils lead by Viru and Gambhir,

They could easily ride on and be the threat for the opponents, and yes its followed by the

Stylish southpaw Yuvi, that can be a dangerous opening batsman for any bowling combination.

What if this three failed to perform, Is there anyone who can Anchor the innings,

We don't have one but we have two good performers’ that can Anchor the innings as well as score runs,

Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina can easily be steady run getting machine for Team India, and the Captain Cool will surely be happy to score fast runs in last over’s along with Royal IPL Star Yusaf Pathan.

and we can very well expect cameos from Piyush Chawala, Irfan Pathan and Pravin Kumar as we had seen in the recent IPL session,

Yes the batting line up seems to be the strongest but we too have an good bowling attack

Ishant and pravin Kumar can harm the opponents very well and Irfan can swing both ways

and chawla and Senior Pathan can spin,

Looks good on the cards but lets see how this team India Perform in future.

All the best team India

It was a  beutiful start from mcgrath, looking like smith is in trouble, but then it was asnodkar who started off brilliantly, 4 and 6s coming all the way, seems difficult for asif. then expensive over by glen mcgrath on the tunes of halla  bol, a drooped cathch from maharoof cost them heavily, coming 4 and 6 then. and there comes a brilliant effort by dhawan, great catch,
and it was rajasthan royals first loss smith is out, maharoof strikes, and now tanvir as a hitter, well caught by dhawan
